Katsamagos Antonis

 

Antonis Katsamagos was born in Athens. He studied Nursing at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens and Psychology at the Panteion University of Political and Social Sciences. He further received his postgraduate degree specializing in Mental Health Studies at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens.

He is a trained psychotherapist by the Greek Association of Analytic Group and Family Therapy and is currently continuing his training at the Greek Association of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.

He collaborated with the University Clinic of Aiginition Hospital in the department of Personality Disorders in the context of a 3-year educational program on Group Analytic Therapy of patients with Borderline Personality Disorder.

He has been working since 2002 in the social psychiatry field on the psychosocial rehabilitation units of the Family Association for Mental Health including Group Home, Day Center, and Protected Apartment, and since 2012 works at the Day Center of the Social Psychiatry Association and Mental Health, monitoring mental health patients living in the community.

He holds the position of Scientific Director of the Center since 2014.

He also runs a private practice as a Psychologist-Psychotherapist with psychoanalytic orientation (one-to-one, group, family and couples).

He is a founding member of the Hellenic Association of Group Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.
