The Section of Couple and Family Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy was founded in 2021 with the aim of meeting the criteria for its affiliation with the European Federation for Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy (EFPP), within the Couple and Family Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Section.
As early as 2020, distinguished international speakers were invited to coordinate seminars in the context of raising awareness and providing training in psychoanalytic couple and family psychotherapy, including Prof. P. Benghozi (France), D. Lucarelli (Italy), Mary Morgan (United Kingdom), and Stanley Ruszczynski (United Kingdom).
In addition, Eirini Ioannovits, Eleni Veinoglou, and Eftychia Kalliteraki are delivering a series of seminars on psychoanalytic couple’s therapy for trainee members of the Hellenic Society of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in Groups (HSPGP).
Since 2024, Mary Morgan and Stanley Ruszczynski have been coordinating seminars in psychoanalytic couple therapy, which are held twice a year. These seminars are addressed to members and trainees of the Hellenic Society of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in Groups (from the third year of training onwards), as well as to members and trainees of other psychoanalytic societies.

Mary Morgan is a psychoanalyst and psychoanalytic couples psychotherapist, and a member of the British Psychoanalytical Society. She was Director of the Department of Psychoanalytic Couples Psychotherapy at the Tavistock Clinic, as well as Director of the Master’s and Doctoral Program in Psychoanalytic Couples Psychotherapy.
Stanley Ruszczynski is a Psychoanalyst (British Psychoanalytic Association) and Psychoanalytic Couples Psychotherapist with a private practice. He has served as Supervisor and Director in the field of psychoanalytic couples psychotherapy at the Tavistock Clinic.
