The Library is located at the Company's headquarters, 4 Nymphaeou Street, Athens 11528, 3rd floor, and is open on a weekly basis – except during the month of August, on weekends, and on public holidays – on days and at times determined by the Company's Board of Directors in consultation with the Library Committee.

All members and trainees of the Company are automatically entitled to use the Library. Exceptionally, the Library Committee may allow other persons to use the Library, with special permission, upon their request. The use of the Library's services and materials is exclusively within its premises and during its days and hours of operation.

Borrowing books for use outside the Library is only permitted for members, regular and honorary, and trainees of the EEPO. The loan period is 5 working days, with the possibility of renewal for an additional 5 days, provided that the books in question have not been requested by other readers. Renewals can only be made once by e-mail, telephone, or in person at the Company's offices.

Members of the EUPSO can borrow up to two books at a time, while trainees can borrow one.

The Library provides access to important electronic scientific journals (e-journals). Articles (e-articles) are delivered either by email or in printed form (0.08 cents/page). In cases where articles fall outside the time periods covered by the subscription, interlibrary loans are available at the user's expense. In all cases, articles are ordered by completing an online form or a printed form. The cost per article is €2 for trainee members of the HSPGP. The interlibrary loan service is free of charge for regular and honorary members of the HSPGP.

The Library is an important intellectual asset of the Company and a key tool for research and educational work. The books it contains are our common property and must remain available to all members and trainees. It is therefore everyone's responsibility to return them on time and keep them in excellent condition.

Systematic delays in returning books beyond the specified time and despite relevant warnings constitute a serious violation. For students in particular, the consequences may include, following a decision by the Education Committee, the permanent withdrawal of borrowing privileges.

• Library users are required to leave their ID and bags at the reception desk upon arrival.
• Reading and audiovisual materials must be used with care. In the event of loss or return of a book in poor condition, the borrower is obliged to replace it or pay the amount required to repair the damage. If the book is out of print, the user is obliged to provide the Library with another title of the same subject matter and corresponding value, as suggested by the Library, or to pay the Library the current value of the book.
• Consumption of food and beverages is prohibited in the reading room.
• Mobile phones must be turned off or set to silent mode.
• Readers must respect both the space and other readers.
• Photocopies from books or magazines are made within the framework of copyright law. Readers do not use the photocopier themselves. Each photocopy costs €0.08. In accordance with the provisions of the law, the reproduction of short excerpts from published works or articles is permitted, provided that it is exclusively for private use and for research, scientific, or educational purposes. Photocopying must not exceed a total of 15 pages. The same applies to computer printouts.
